Design Competition

The winner of XVIII Viljandi Folk Music Festival grant competition to find this year's characteristic design was artist Tõnu Kukk who also created the 1994 Festival poster.

Tõnu Kukk said that he had meanwhile also participated in the design competitions, however, was not lucky to be picked as the winner.

According to the artist it was not difficult to create the design this year. «I kept the topic of the Festival in mind and let my fantasy fly far and wide,» he explained. That is how this cheerful logo was born, depicting three pairs of legs stretching out of an accordion.
