Monthly OurCultureAcademy (OCA) concert-meetings in the Traditional Music Center introduce remarkable people who in one or another way are connected to traditional culture. During the talks which are enriched with musical interludes the audience gets acquainted with the guest's background, way of thinking, and the era which the guest represents. Members of the audience are welcome to ask questions from the guests. Inspired by the theme of this year's Viljandi Folk Music Festival which was "Dance Breaks out from within", the overarching theme of the concert-meetings of the 2010/2011 season is "BODY".
The guest of the concert-meeting in September is Meelika Hainsoo. Even though she is known to the public as a musicians and singer of the band Vägilased, she has devoted most of her creative energy towards learning and teaching traditional dances. "The joy of dancing is the most important thing," she emphasises. The meeting is hosted by Sofia Joons.
