Tsibihärblaseq

Seto

Listenable and moving

Seto youth choir Tsibihärbläseq (white wagtails in dialect) sing old Seto singing games they have learned from their foremothers. The repertoire focuses on local tradition and songs. In addition they dance old social dances they would also dance at home.

There are 12-24 years old young girls in the choir and one 12 year old boy. Tsibihärbläseq have been active for 20 years. Generations, of course, have changed and many have gone to breathe the urban air, however, when they happen to be somewhere nearby, they always join in singing.
