For gourmands

Mordva multiple voice singing. Their singing flows slowly with a very intense voice. There are both Ersa and Moksha people in the singing group and the songs, too, are from both peoples. Multiple voice singing has an extremely big ritualistic importance in Mordva. Mordva wedding has also been called a folk song opera. Instrumental music has no big importance here. Singing mainly has three vocals, then dividing once more, heterophonically, between singers – we can say that each singer has their own score that differs from the others. Mordva singing has remote connection to Seto multiple voice singing.

The reviver of Mordva men’s singing was Vladimir Romashkin, the father of Andrey Romashkin. That group of singers is the second generation of Toorama.
