With beautiful folk songs, a mix of traditional and newly composed Swedish folk music, Ranarim creates its own unique sound with vocals, keyed fiddle, guitar, doublebass and percussion. Cheerful and rhythmic, versatile dance music: polskas, waltzes, polkas, chorals, medieval ballads. The main emphasis is not on modernization but on variety. The band started as students in Stockholm Royal Academy folk music department who have strong feeling for their roots. In addition to the skillful instrument players we also hear two of the best Swedish folk singers Ulrika Bodén, Sofia Sandén.
